# taperat > See your recording history in one place, save a moment, and export a clip to share. taperat organises existing gameplay and video recordings. Keep using your favourite recorder. Original files stay where they are, unchanged. ## Everyday features - Scan recording folders, drag and drop recordings, or use Recording Detection to add new recordings. - Browse the whole recording history in grid or list view, with custom folders and subfolders. - Save named moments as slices: reusable in/out ranges with titles, tags, descriptions, colours and collections. - Export standalone clips in 16:9 or 9:16. Vertical clips can use blurred or black backgrounds. Export without re-encoding when possible, or encode with VP9 / AV1. ## Creator workflows - Combine compatible recordings from any folder into one continuous session timeline. No new source video is created. - Search transcripts, titles, tags, collections, games and filenames. - taperat Perception Engine uses diarisation and OCR to automatically improve transcripts, fix text and assign speakers. Transcription and Perception Engine run locally. Analysis jobs run individually. - Connect a chosen compatible LLM through MCP Bridge to find characters, story beats or scenes, create slices and tag recordings. The bridge runs locally; a cloud model's provider handles the data the user chooses to share. - Send slices to DaVinci Resolve Studio or Adobe Premiere Pro 26.3 or newer. Resolve Studio needs an open project and External scripting using set to Local. - Generate proxies on demand, stored with the taperat database. - Use nested tags, collections, favourites and ratings. Deleted slices remain archived and recoverable. ## Availability The website has placeholder Download beta and Buy taperat actions. No installer or checkout link is live.
